「陰」の香りは、和室で一杯のお茶をゆったりといただくような日常の一場面を思い描き、訪れる心の静寂と安らぎを表現した。
A home shaped by natural materials does not shut out the world—it listens, it yields, it lives in quiet dialogue with nature. When we place ourselves inside a Japanese house, we feel it—the presence of people, the breath of nature, the passage of time—all soaking quietly into our bodies. 古来より人々は清浄さを求めてきた。伊勢神宮の式年遷宮では、神木によってお社が一新され、蘇る。白き肌や木の香りから放たれる神々しさ、生命力は印象深い。他方、古寺に漂う時の流れがもたらす深みある彩りや香りも心に充実感を与える。
このような象徴的な存在は、凛とした姿で私たちを導いてくれ、時に優しく包み込む。「陽」は、日常に清浄さを取り入れ、慈しむひと時を思い描き、心地よい緊張感と高揚感とを表した。
Since ancient times, people have sought purity—not just of body, but of space, of spirit. At the Grand Shrine of Ise, the ritual rebuilding of the sacred halls—every twenty years—is carried out with timber blessed by the gods. The pale grain of the wood, the crisp scent it carries, radiate a quiet divinity—a sense of renewal, of life made luminous. And yet, in contrast, there is also beauty in age—the worn hues of an old temple, the weight of stillness, the depth of a fragrance shaped by passing time. Both newness and age offer a kind of fullness. Both lead us inward. Such sacred presences, whether radiant or worn, stand with quiet dignity—sometimes guiding, sometimes embracing.
